Making Connections

The key to Connect the Tots is putting parents in touch with other parents. To be honest, sometimes the task of raising a family can seem all encompassing. Our hope is this page with help you meet some other local parents who are not part of your playgroup. Let us know if you have any suggestions!

For information on any of the following, click the link to the right:

  • Discussion Groups - Meet up with other Connect the Tots members through these groups designed to get people in similar situations as yourself.
  • Playgroup Listing - Not in the Reading, MA area? Check out our growing list of similar organizations across the country.
  • The Marketplace - We all have a little something to offer the group. If you or your spouse has a business, or offers a service other members might need or use, please visit. Included is a link to our on-line classifieds.

Meals for Moms

Did you know Connect the Tots provides dinners to families with new babies or serious illnesses? If you would like to volunteer to help with this good cause, please contact Alicia Sasser. We would like to develop a large resource list of volunteers so that the same people don't have to do all the cooking every time, and it is not a very time consuming commitment. If you know any member of Connect the Tots who is in need of this service or you yourself need us please contact Alicia.

Host a Connect the Tots Event

Want to lend a hand? We are looking for volunteers to help run events throughout the year. Don't worry, you won't have 100 kids tromping through your house. Hosts simply need to handle the RSVP and coordinate a list of participants. If the event is an outing, a host chooses a meeting time/place and provides directions to the outing. A holiday craft activity involves opening up your home for participants and organizing the materials (CTT has a craft supply box). Hosting a monthly library meeting involves supplying light refreshments. Entire playgroups are encouraged to adopt an activity and share hosting duties. If you would like to host a future CTT event or have an idea for an activity and would like to host it, please contact a Special Events board member.

Looking for an organization like Connect the Tots, but you don't live in eastern Massachusetts? Check out our playgroup listing page.
